Your intensive research, innovative techniques, thorough analysis, and meticulous record keeping have advanced hybridizing and propagation by giant steps. Your ability to relate and communicate with others, your innate friendliness and generosity have broadened the horizon of rhododendrons for everyone. With grateful appreciation, the American Rhododendron Societys highest award, the Gold Medal, is given to Mr. Weldon Delp on the 24th day of May, 1986, Cleveland, Ohio.
